Dino invites Bolsonaro to visit hospitals in Maranhão.
"I'll show him myself," said the governor, after Jair Bolsonaro asked his followers to invade and film hospitals.
247 - "If Bolsonaro weren't this unprepared and desperate person, he would know that he doesn't need to order the invasion of hospitals. He only needs to check the bulletins that state governments publish with the number of occupied beds. And if he wants to visit our hospitals, I myself will show him," posted Governor Flávio Dino of Maranhão, after Jair Bolsonaro urged his followers to invade and film hospitals, committing yet another crime of responsibility. Forum Magazine - During a presidential live broadcast held this Thursday (11), President Jair Bolsonaro stated that there could be a “political use” of the coronavirus pandemic data and asked his supporters to enter field hospitals to film the facilities.
The president, who opposed social isolation, said that the Federal Government did "everything" possible to contain the spread of the disease and suggested that hospitals would be empty. According to him, nobody died due to a lack of beds in the country.
“From the beginning, there was talk about flattening the curve, that isolation had to happen so that there wouldn't be a shortage of hospital beds. The information we have is that, in total or in large part, nobody lost their life due to a lack of ventilators or ICU beds. Now, if there's a field hospital near you, find a way to get in and film. Many people are doing this, and more people need to do it to show whether the beds are occupied or not,” he stated.
