Brazilian congressman André Fernandes, a supporter of President Bolsonaro, criticizes the fake news bill, and an internet user responds: 'Afraid of what?' (video)

The congressman said that the proposal being debated in Congress is not a 'project to ban fake news, but to create a council appointed by the federal government'.

247 - Federal deputy André Fernandes (PL-CE) was questioned by an internet user after criticizing the Fake News Bill (PL 2630/20). 

"What are you afraid of?", one internet user wrote on Twitter.

The congressman said that the proposal being debated in Congress is not a "project to prohibit fake news, but to create a council appointed by the Lula government to define what can or cannot be said on social media." And you could be arrested for it!", he wrote.

The Speaker of the House, Arthur Lira, said that the leaders reached an agreement on procedures for voting on the fake news bill (PL 2630/20). The urgency request will be voted on this Tuesday (25), and the merits of the proposal, next week.
