Ciro Nogueira wants the PP's support for ACM Neto in Bahia, disrupting the plans of João Roma, a fellow government official.

The Chief of Staff is working to get the Progressive Party to support the opponent of the Minister of Citizenship, João Roma, in the race for governor of Bahia.

By Igor Gadelha, Metrópoles - The Chief of Staff, Ciro Nogueira, is personally working to ensure that the Progressistas party, which he leads, supports former Salvador mayor ACM Neto (União Brasil) in the race for governor of Bahia this year.

Ciro's maneuvering indirectly harms another government minister: the Minister of Citizenship, João Roma (Republicanos), who has been trying to make his own candidacy for governor of Bahia viable.

Today, the Progressistas party is allied with the governor of Bahia, Rui Costa (PT). The party holds the vice-governorship, with João Leão, and some of the party's leaders in Bahia advocate maintaining the alliance with the PT in the 2022 elections.
