Minister Ricardo Salles dismissed the secretary who reported him to the CGU (Comptroller General of the Union), the CEP (Presidential Ethics Commission), and the TCU (Federal Court of Accounts).

The names chosen disregard an internal selection process within the ministry, conducted between November 2019 and March 2020, to choose members of the body. The three full members appointed by Salles are employees of the General Coordination of Administrative Support, a department linked to the minister's office. None of the three participated in the selection.”
The article further adds that "the Ethics Committee is responsible for investigating allegations of misconduct by employees in the ministry and ensuring compliance with the Code of Ethics in the public sector. Among the responsibilities of the body is to recommend the dismissal of public officials who have violated rules of public administration."
