Covid transmission rate in the Federal District hits 2,61, matching the 2020 record.

According to data from the Health Department, in the last 24 hours alone there were 3.297 new confirmed cases of the disease in the Federal District.

Metropolises - The Covid-19 transmission rate in the Federal District reached 2,61 this Friday (January 21st). This rate equals the record registered in the Federal District at the beginning of the pandemic, in 2020.

On Thursday (January 20th), the rate was 2,58, when 4,100 new cases were recorded in 24 hours.

The number was released in the latest bulletin from the DF Health Department. A transmission rate above 1 represents an advance of the pandemic. A rate below that line indicates that the disease is under control.
