247 - The Supreme Federal Court (STF) concluded this Wednesday (22) a tender worth R$ 83,9 million for the hiring of a private company with the aim of reinforcing the security of the ministers. The money will be spent over two years. With the new contract, 230 professionals will work on the security of the Court.

According to the newspaper The GlobeThe public notice published on the 13th announced a maximum investment of R$ 101,6 million in private security for the ministers. The winning company was Esparta, which submitted a bid lower than the stipulated amount. The contract will come into effect on February 1st.

"The new tender aims to unify contracts and facilitate service delivery. The original tender projected spending of R$ 50 million per year — R$ 100 million for two years — but after the bidding process, which prioritizes the lowest price, the contract was set at R$ 84 million for two years, that is, the same level as the five existing contracts," stated a note from the court.
