Without a raise, the Military Police say they will "get even" during the World Cup.

In a threatening tone, a sergeant from the Military Police delivers a harsh message to the Secretary of Public Security of the Federal District, Sandro Avelar: "If the Military Police are not considered, as other Public Security agencies have been, we will retaliate during the World Cup," he warns bluntly, and orders the secretary to deliver the message to Governor Agnelo Queiroz; the police officer's position is absurd, especially considering recent events such as the June protests during the Confederations Cup and the chaos that occurred last Sunday between fans in Joinville (SC); the presence of the Military Police is more than necessary.

247 - A sergeant from the Military Police of the Federal District, who identifies himself as a spokesperson for the category, tells the Secretary of Public Security, Sandro Avelar, that if the police officers do not receive a salary readjustment, they will "get their revenge" during the 2014 World Cup. The event occurred on December 5th, during a breakfast held inside the 11th Battalion of the Military Police in Samambaia, a region 25 kilometers from the center of Brasília. The video was released by G1.

During the meeting, the sergeant says he speaks on behalf of the entire force and affirms that if the Military Police are not granted a salary increase, the officers will give a "response" in 2014. "The World Cup is coming. And I'm going to tell you, on behalf of our group: it's our wish. If the Military Police are not included, as other Public Security agencies have been, we will retaliate during the World Cup. Mr. Secretary, please convey this message [to Governor Agnelo Queiroz]," the sergeant says in the recording.

At one point, the military officer says that the government of the Federal District "turned its back" on the demands of the corporation. "We thought we were in heaven when we elected Dilma, we elected Patrício [district deputy for the PT], we elected Agnelo (...). So, sir, as Secretary of Public Security, I want you to take this message to the governor," he states. Contacted by G1, the Military Police responded that the corporation's command "is still evaluating the information" and that "it will issue a statement soon."
