Weintraub's imminent departure angers Bolsonaro-supporting businessman under investigation in the Fake News inquiry.
Otavio Fakhoury stated that he will "rethink" his support for Bolsonaro if the minister is dismissed.
Forum - Businessman Otavio Fakhoury, one of the targets of the Supreme Federal Court (STF) inquiry investigating the dissemination of fake news and virtual attacks against the STF, criticized President Jair Bolsonaro for the likely dismissal of Education Minister Abraham Weintraub.
"It's already clear that the establishment wants Abraham Weintraub out. Question: Has Jair Bolsonaro surrendered to the system?", Fakhoury wrote on Twitter. The businessman, a disciple of Olavo de Carvalho and one of the founders of the Alliance for Brazil, is identified in the fake news investigation as one of the financiers of the so-called Bolsonaro "Hate Cabinet".
When questioned by journalist Sérgio Roxo of the newspaper O Globo, Fakhoury said he would "rethink" his support for the former captain. "I'll have to rethink it... I can't say yes or no. But I will rethink my support," he said.
