The governor of the Federal District, Rodrigo Rollemberg (PSB), adopted a series of measures aimed at normalizing public transportation, gas supply, and the situation in public hospitals due to the problems generated by the truckers' strike; the governor ordered the reinforcement of the bus fleet, the extension of the metro's operating hours, and the prioritization of hospitals and schools in receiving cooking gas.
Brasilia 247 - The governor of the Federal District, Rodrigo Rollemberg (PSB), adopted a series of measures aimed at normalizing public transportation, gas supply, and the situation in public hospitals as a result of the problems generated by the truckers' strike.
After a meeting of the so-called Crisis Committee, Rollemberg ordered the reinforcement of the bus fleet, with 300 additional vehicles this Friday (1) and 420 vehicles during the afternoon period and the operation of the metro until 23:30 pm. Gas supply was prioritized for hospitals and schools and the secretaries of the economic area were tasked with seeking alternatives to normalize the supply to the population.
The public health system should also immediately receive more than 195 products that arrived in Brasília this Friday. The consumer protection agency (Procon) has been tasked with increasing inspections at gas stations and gas distributors to prevent abuses, and the Military Police have been instructed to ensure the free circulation of buses.
