The Union of Road Workers of the Federal District and public transport companies reached an agreement today (3) on the category's salary readjustment. Road workers will receive a 10% increase in salary and 11% in food vouchers, basic food basket and health plan, in addition to 30% in the dental plan.

The adjustments are retroactive to May. The remaining clauses of the previous agreement will remain in effect.

Last Thursday (30), drivers and conductors held a flash strike from 10:30 am to 15 pm. "From the beginning, the category demonstrated that it wanted to negotiate, it did not want to harm the population of the DF at any time," said the union president, Jorge Farias.

Bus drivers were on strike notice for this Monday (4), but, with the agreement, buses will run normally.

Meanwhile, subway workers in the Federal District have been on strike since June 14. The group met on Friday (1st) and presented a proposal for readjustment to the government, which should be analyzed tomorrow (4).
