COALITION CHANGE BRAZIL
Press Release
In light of the growing increase in racist and discriminatory manifestations against citizens from the Northeast region of the country, along with social media on the internet, the "Change Brazil" Coalition today presented a formal complaint to the Federal Prosecutor's Office in the Federal District, requesting a proper investigation of the facts and the prosecution of all perpetrators of these crimes.
It is important to highlight that, as far as we have observed, these demonstrations are being carried out anonymously, through the creation of fake profiles, which prevents us from effectively knowing the origin of these actions.
For this reason, we hope that the investigations will lead to the true perpetrators of these crimes, who indiscriminately use the internet to promote hatred among our own citizens, in order to identify those who benefit from this unacceptable practice.
Our society does not accept this attempt at discriminatory division among our citizens, because, above all, we all share a common feeling, which is the pride of being Brazilian.
Federal Deputy Carlos Sampaio
Legal Coordinator of the Change Brazil Coalition
