Anti-Faction Project toughens penalties and advances within the government
The proposal facilitates action against companies used by organized crime and regulates the recording of conversations between criminals and lawyers inside prisons.
247 - The Minister of Justice and Public Security, Ricardo Lewandowski, is expected to send a bill to the Civil House this Wednesday (22) to increase the prison time for criminal organizations.
According to the proposal, the current penalty of 3 to 8 years in prison for those who participate in, promote, or finance a criminal organization will be increased to 5 to 10 years in prison.
The bill creates a more serious form of this crime (criminal organization) when there is territorial control. The proposal facilitates actions against companies used by organized crime and regulates the recording of conversations between criminals and lawyers inside prison.
