Brasilia 247 - The price of gasoline rose for the fourth consecutive week in the Federal District. The figures are from the National Petroleum Agency (ANP), released this Friday (23). The ANP conducts a weekly price survey to monitor the prices charged by distributors and fuel retailers. In December, the average price per liter of gasoline in the Federal District rose 3,74% to R$ 3,684. The average price per liter of Diesel S10 increased by 4,42% and costs R$ 3,467.

District Representative Chico Vigilante (PT) criticizes the new pricing policy adopted by Petrobras. According to the representative, basing fuel prices on the international market will lead to constant price adjustments at gas stations across Brazil. "Equating Brazilian prices with those practiced in the international market will cause fuel prices to increase every week. And this is becoming a reality," he warns.

Since the Brazilian state-owned company adopted the new policy, prices have increased once and decreased twice. However, both reductions never reached the tanks of Brazilian drivers. "This measure is yet another evil deed formulated by this cursed quartet, formed by Michel Temer, PMDB, PSDB and Democrats, which is destroying the Brazilian middle class," he exclaims.
