Brazilian Federal Police release 599 people arrested for coup-related acts in Brasília.

"To date, 527 people have been arrested," says the Federal Police.

247 - The Federal Police said on Tuesday (10) that the Military Police of the Federal District took more than 1.500 people involved in the anti-democratic acts of last Sunday (8) to the National Police Academy, in Brasília/DF, after a determination by the Supreme Federal Court.

"At the scene, the detainees are undergoing judicial police procedures. After the procedures carried out by the Federal Police, the prisoners are being presented to the Civil Police of the Federal District, responsible for sending the detainees to the Forensic Medical Institute and, subsequently, to the prison system," said the Federal Police.

According to the corporation, "the procedures are being monitored continuously by the Brazilian Bar Association, the Fire Department, the Health Department of the Federal District, the Mobile Emergency Care Service (SAMU), and the Federal Public Defender's Office."

"To date, 527 people have been arrested. For humanitarian reasons, 599 detainees have been released, generally elderly people, people with health problems, homeless people, and mothers accompanied by children."

"Everyone is receiving regular meals (breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner), hydration, and medical care when needed."
