Metropolises - Personal trainer Eduardo Alves, 31, who appears in images recorded by security cameras assaulting a homeless man in Jardim Roriz, in Planaltina, in the early hours of last Wednesday (9), after allegedly catching his wife having sexual relations with the man, says that his partner was a victim of sexual violence.
According to him, his wife was experiencing a psychotic episode and, therefore, there was no consensual extramarital affair, but rather rape. "This is not a case of marital infidelity, but rather a crime of violence," he said in a statement sent to [the media outlet]. metropolises, after the publication of the report.
After the commotion in the street, everyone was taken to the 16th Police Station (Planaltina), which is investigating the case. Informally, to the police officers who responded to the incident, the woman, who, according to the personal trainer, is under medical care in the public health system, said that the sexual relations were consensual. A witness interviewed by the Civil Police of the Federal District (PCDF) gave the same version.
In audio recordings obtained by the news report, the woman also states to an acquaintance that the entire action was consensual. Initially, the homeless man allegedly asked for donations and even to be healed. "I felt like giving him a hug," she said. Then, the man allegedly asked to caress her feet. "I felt something so good," she said.
Throughout her account, the woman explains that she began having visions in which she was in the presence of God. At other times, she saw the homeless man as Eduardo, her partner. "Sometimes I saw him as God, sometimes as Eduardo," she says.
Still in a public place, the two reportedly continued exchanging affectionate gestures, according to her. The result, as reported in the audio, was a kiss between the two in front of her mother-in-law, a situation that left the personal trainer's mother incredulous. "It's my purpose, let me receive my purpose," the woman said to her mother-in-law. After the kiss, the homeless man got into the woman's car, looking for a more private place. "I was looking around the bus station for a dark and empty place for us to be together. I felt the need to let him into my car," the woman stated in the recording.
Based on images recorded by neighborhood surveillance cameras, it's possible to see when the personal trainer approaches the car. He violently bangs on the window, then assaults the homeless man outside. Like the woman, the homeless man was taken to the hospital. He had injuries to his face and both eyes were black. Despite this, he is doing well. The personal trainer gave a statement and was released. He may face charges for bodily harm.
Homeless person's version
In a statement given at the police station, the homeless man told officers that, around 21:30 pm on Tuesday, a car stopped near the parish school in Planaltina. The personal trainer's partner was allegedly inside the vehicle.
According to him, the woman called him over and asked him to come closer. Immediately afterwards, she allegedly said, "Let's play?". Following this, the homeless man said he was convinced by the woman to get into the vehicle. He further stated that, while he was naked and having relations with the driver inside the car, an "angry man invaded the vehicle" and a fight ensued. The man declared that he did not know the woman and that he did not rape her.
