The Electoral Public Prosecutor's Office requests the rejection of Damares' accounts and the return of funds to the Treasury.

The agency points to irregularities in the campaign of Bolsonaro's former minister who was elected senator.

247 The Electoral Public Prosecutor's Office has pointed out irregularities in the campaign finance report submitted by former minister Damares Alves, who was elected senator for the Republicanos party in the Federal District. 

The Attorney General's opinion recommends the disapproval of Damares' accounts and the return of the funds to the National Treasury.

According to the Public Prosecutor's Office, the documentation for approximately R$ 595 is in an "irregular" situation. The balance includes expenses for the production of electoral propaganda, campaign services, fuel, and private security – a category not included in the list of expenses with public funds, it reports. Of the total, R$ 105 refers to expenses paid with the Party Fund and R$ 489 with the Electoral Fund.
