Ministry of Justice has dossier on coup-plotting military personnel
The department obtained photos and information from military personnel who were associated with the coup.
247 - Members of the Ministry of Justice and Public Security, headed by Flávio Dino, are discussing the possibility of creating a list of active-duty colonels and majors who helped provide security for coup plotters at the encampment in front of the General Headquarters in Brasília (DF), where supporters of Jair Bolsonaro (PL) invaded the Supreme Federal Court, Congress, and the Presidential Palace on January 8.
Since the beginning of December, the Ministry has had a dossier with photos and information on military personnel who were associated with the coup. This was what was pointed out by... Lauro Jardim's column, published this Tuesday (17).
The Federal Police have been taking photos of coup-mongering acts since the beginning of the government transition. According to the column, the "no amnesty" movement is gaining strength in the Legislative and Judicial branches, which see alignment with the government as one of the alternatives to overcome the public security crisis in the Federal District.
Former Justice Minister Anderson Torres had his arrest ordered by the Supreme Federal Court. Ibaneis Rocha (MDB) was removed from the government of the Federal District. Both are being investigated for alleged lack of initiative (omission) to prevent terrorist acts in Brasília.
