The Association of Military Police and Firefighters of the Federal District (Aspra-DF) is meeting this morning (19) to discuss the decrees signed yesterday by the governor of the Federal District, Agnelo Queiroz, which readjust the values of the food and housing allowances for active and retired military police and firefighters in the DF.
According to the vice-president of Aspra, Sergeant Manoel Sansão, he did not expect the government to decree the readjustment, since the category had previously rejected the proposal. "The enlisted personnel are disappointed. Aspra does not agree with this readjustment that only benefited the officers. Our proposal is for a complete restructuring of the career, with equality and a linear increase in salary," said the sergeant.
According to a statement from the DF (Federal District) government, the decision to maintain the proposal was approved after consulting with the commands of the Military Police and the Military Fire Department. However, Sergeant Sansão believes it is unacceptable for a group of officers to decide for the entire corporation. "We will analyze the situation and, if necessary, we will go to court to try to block the decision," he explained.
