Doctors rule out heart attack for Genoino. Will JB arrest him?

Brasilia – A medical bulletin released by the Cardiology Institute of the Federal District (IC-DF), in the early afternoon, ruled out a myocardial infarction in Congressman José Genoino (PT-SP). He was admitted to the institute yesterday afternoon (21), when he underwent a series of tests. According to the bulletin, “blood pressure levels” were diagnosed in the patient that could compromise the result of the surgery to correct and dissect the aorta and “coagulation alteration secondary to the use of anticoagulants, which increases the risk of bleeding.

According to doctors at IC-DF, Genoino has a clinical history of systemic arterial hypertension. In July of this year, he underwent surgery for an aortic dissection and, in August, he underwent another surgery after a stroke. "The patient was reassessed this morning, is stable, and will remain hospitalized until adequate control of blood pressure and coagulation parameters," the doctors stated in the bulletin.
