This number represents 82% of the target population, a result 2 percentage points higher than the campaign's goal. Vaccination was directed towards children between 6 months and 5 years old, pregnant women, the elderly, prisoners, people with chronic diseases, healthcare workers, and indigenous people. The vaccine protects against three subtypes of the flu virus: H1N1, H3N2, and influenza B.
