Brasilia 247 - The performance of the police and rescue forces of the Federal District during the third World Cup match at the Mané Garrincha Stadium, between Cameroon and Brazil, was considered satisfactory, and the operations proceeded smoothly, according to the Security Secretariat.

In the course of the operation, a group of 15 people, including Poles, Argentinians, Dutch, and Brazilians, were arrested. The Civil Police, responsible for the arrests, seized approximately 500 tickets, R$ 20, and about US$ 3 in cash from the accused.

According to the ministry, the operational plan for the mega-event involved 3,4 public security professionals. Another 1,4 worked policing the FIFA Fan Fest, which had an audience of 40 people and no serious incidents were reported.

In the vicinity of the arena, which had an audience of 69.112 fans – the largest for the Brazilian National Team in this World Cup – there were no noteworthy incidents. According to FIFA, the Mané Garrincha stadium surpassed the number of fans attending the Brazilian National Team at the Itaquerão stadium, which had 62.103 people, and at the Castelão stadium in Fortaleza, which hosted 60.342 fans.

Despite demonstrations taking place, with around 60 participants, according to Public Security, everything went smoothly and peacefully. There were no clashes and the democratic act, which took place near the Plano Piloto Bus Station, around 15 pm yesterday (23), dissipated in less than 1 hour.
