More than a thousand vacancies at the Children's Hospital of Brasília.

Specializing in the treatment of cancer and blood diseases, the hospital offers consultations and examinations in various pediatric specialties.

Brasília Agency - The Brasília Children's Hospital (HCB) José Alencar is offering, starting this month, more than a thousand new slots for consultations and exams in various pediatric specialties. Specializing in the treatment of cancer and blood diseases, the hospital receives patients aged between zero and 18 years and provides comprehensive care through the Unified Health System (SUS).

Among the specialties that have opened positions are homeopathy, cardiology, clinical genetics, immunology, nephrology, oncohematology, pulmonology, rheumatology, speech therapy, and physiotherapy. In addition, starting April 16th, it will also serve patients undergoing hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis.

The unit, which began operating in November of last year, offers virtually all medical specialties. To date, more than 63 children and adolescents have sought care at the hospital.

Since the end of 2011, the Children's Hospital has conducted approximately 35 laboratory tests and at least 15 consultations, registering roughly 3 inpatient and day-hospital stays (partial hospitalization services). In addition, the unit has performed just over 2 chemotherapy sessions and an average of 860 transfusions.

Currently, HCB has a 7 square meter block for outpatient care and a capacity of 200 beds. The second block, still under construction, will include inpatient areas, surgeries, an intensive care unit (ICU), and specialized diagnostics. The completion of this phase should increase the number of beds by 90%. The expectation is that the hospital, which will have 21 square meters, will serve more than 300 people per year.
