247 - The government leader in the Senate, Jaques Wagner (PT-BA), stated this Thursday (30), during a press conference in Brasília (DF), that the federal government expects the candidate for president of the Senate, Davi Alcolumbre (União Brasil-AP), to align on “structural” matters, but not on projects of an ideological nature.

Structural matters deal with economic reforms. Some of them were not analyzed last year and should be considered in 2025, such as the reform of military pensions and income tax.

The election for the presidency of the Senate was scheduled for next Saturday (1st). In addition to the senator from Amapá, three more names will be in the running: Eduardo Girão (Novo-CE), Astronauta Marcos Pontes (PL-SP) and Marcos do Val (Podemos-ES).
