Benedito's investigation postponed at the CLDF.
Ethics committee needs to decide whether to open proceedings for breach of decorum; deputy suspected of having benefited family companies in 2008; committee president promised to assess the case on Friday (30), but meeting did not take place.
247_ The ethics committee of the Legislative Chamber of the Federal District (CLDF) decided to postpone again the decision on whether to open proceedings for breach of decorum against parliamentarian Benedito Domingos (PP).
The congressman is being investigated by the special council of the Federal District Court of Justice for allegedly favoring family-owned companies in the purchase of Christmas decorations for various regions of the Federal District in 2008.
Last Monday (26), the CLDF board decided that the ethics committee should pronounce itself on the episode. On the same day, the committee president, Celina Leão (PSD), promised to evaluate Domingos' case on Friday (30), but the meeting did not take place.
Leão claimed that the meeting was not possible because some deputies were already traveling due to the Easter holiday.
