Rendrik's interrogation will be on Friday (13)

A lawyer has confessed to the murder of Suncia Sousa Farias, with whom he had a relationship for almost a year; the crime occurred on September 30, 2011.

Brasilia 247 – The third hearing in the death of Suênia Sousa Farias will be this Friday (13), starting at 9 am. This time, the confessed defendant, Rendrik Vieira Rodrigues, who shot his ex-girlfriend on September 30, 2011, will be heard.

Ten witnesses have already been heard, five for the prosecution, four for the defense, and one common to both sides. Some reported that Rendrik was a calm man with a good reputation. Suênia's ex-husband has also been questioned; he stated that the accused continued to loiter around the couple's house even after their relationship had ended.

After questioning the defendant, the judge will deliver a verdict determining whether the accused will face a jury trial.

The crime

On September 30th, Rendrik fired three shots at the student, claiming he was upset about the end of their 11-month relationship. Attorney Pedro Calmon, assisting the prosecution for the Public Prosecutor's Office of the Federal District and Territories (MPDFT), asserts that there is no defense, as the defendant confessed to the murder and took the body to the police station. He further emphasizes that the crime was highly premeditated, for a trivial reason, and gave the victim no chance to defend herself.

According to the Public Prosecutor of the Jury Court of Brasília, Maurício Miranda, the discussion is not about the authorship of the crime, which is evident, but about the circumstances of the barbarity in order to stipulate the length of imprisonment, which may increase or decrease.
