During his visit to Brazil, the third in line to the British throne intends to learn about social projects and attend World Cup matches. In addition to the capital, Brasília, Prince Harry, 29, will travel to Belo Horizonte and São Paulo, where he will visit Cracolândia (a notorious area in São Paulo known for its open drug use and drug use). Prince Harry, third in line to the throne of the United Kingdom, begins his visit to Brazil today (23) in Brasília, where he will visit social projects and attend World Cup matches. In addition to the federal capital, the 29-year-old prince will travel to Belo Horizonte and São Paulo, where he will visit Cracolândia.
This morning, after landing in Brasília, Harry will go to one of the hospitals in the Sarah Kubitschek Network, a leading center for rehabilitation treatments, to visit patients and tour the facilities. According to the schedule released by the British Embassy, Harry is expected to go canoeing with a patient from the hospital.
In the afternoon, the prince has scheduled activities at the embassy and will attend the match between Brazil and Cameroon at the Mané Garrincha Stadium. According to the schedule, no meetings are planned between Harry and federal authorities. However, the prince's staff does not rule out the possibility of a meeting between him and some other prominent figure during the Brazil game.
Tomorrow (24), Harry will go to Belo Horizonte, where he will visit the training base of the British Olympic and Paralympic teams that will compete in the Rio 2016 Olympic Games and watch the match between Costa Rica and England, which has already been eliminated from the World Cup. On Wednesday (25), in São Paulo, accompanied by Mayor Fernando Haddad, the prince will visit the De Braços Abertos project, which deals with crack users. Also in the São Paulo capital, Harry will go the following day (26) to a party for around 500 people in honor of Queen Elizabeth II, his grandmother, at the UK Consulate.
This is Harry's second visit to Brazil – he was in the country in 2012 and visited Rio de Janeiro and Campinas, in São Paulo – and his third official visit, as this year he went to Italy and Estonia.
After his visit to Brazil, the prince will travel to Chile.
