247 - The National Governors Forum, in a statement released this Sunday (8), decided to offer to send police forces to help with security in the central area of ​​Brasília, invaded by coup-plotting Bolsonaro groups.

The decision was made after an emergency meeting held this Sunday. 

"The National Forum of Governors expresses its absolute revulsion at witnessing the extremely serious and unacceptable events that occurred today in the Federal District [...] and publishes this statement of support for democracy, condemning any violent attitudes and irresponsible behavior that jeopardizes the integrity of the democratic rule of law," the statement emphasizes.

The National Forum of Governors expresses its absolute disgust at witnessing the very serious and unacceptable episodes recorded today in the Federal District, which reveal the invasion of Praça dos Três Poderes, followed by the illegal vandalization of the premises of the Palácio do Planalto, the National Congress and the Supreme Court. Federal Court by coup protesters, irresigned to the results of the legitimately closed elections in the country, and publishes this note in support of democracy, condemning any violent attitudes and irresponsible postures that put at risk the integrity of the democratic rule of law.

The Brazilian Governors, offering to send state military forces to support the restoration of national normalcy, demand an investigation into the origins of this absurd movement and the adoption of strong measures against the extremists and those who, through negligence or convenience, allowed such a situation, as well as the subsequent punishment of those responsible.
