The medical team found that the discomfort is a common occurrence in post-operative patients. He remains hospitalized, in stable condition, according to a statement released this Monday (August 3).
Recently, Minister Fischer had already been absent from the Superior Court of Justice (STJ) due to health problems. Treatment for a pulmonary embolism kept him away from his work routine in July 2019. He returned on March 24th.
The minister is the most senior member of the Superior Court of Justice and the designated rapporteur for the "Lava Jato" cases in Curitiba. He is a member of the 5th Panel, which judges criminal matters, and the Special Court.
