The case concerning the forensic analysis of Adélio's lawyer's cell phone has reached the STF (Supreme Federal Court) and has already been assigned: Minister Luiz Fux will be the rapporteur. Fux will also be the next president of the Supreme Court.
247 - Minister Luiz Fux was chosen as the rapporteur in the Supreme Federal Court (STF) for the case that will decide whether the Federal Police can examine the cell phone of the lawyer for Adélio Bispo de Oliveira, the man who allegedly stabbed presidential candidate Jair Bolsonaro in 2018.
A report from the Folha de S. Paulo newspaper. It highlights that “the writ of mandamus was filed in court last week. On Friday (19), Fux was drawn to take over the case. The magistrate has not yet issued any order, but it will be up to him to start the processing of the case in the court.”
The article further adds that "any authorization for the Federal Police to analyze the device and other materials seized at the office of lawyer Zanone Manuel de Oliveira could lead to the reopening of investigations into the attempted assassination of the current president."
