Fábio Faria drops out of the race and wants to "privatize himself" in 2023, says O Globo.

The minister decided he will fulfill his term in Communications and, if Jair Bolsonaro is not re-elected, Fábio Faria is expected to move to the private sector.

247 - The Minister of Communications, Fábio Faria, will not be running for any office in this year's elections. With this decision, Jair Bolsonaro will have at least one loss in the team of 11 ministers he expected to run in the October election. According to... column by Malu GasparIn an article published in the newspaper O Globo, the minister decided he will remain in office until the end of the current government and, if Bolsonaro is not re-elected, Farias will likely move to the private sector.

The Minister of Communications is facing charges of obstruction of justice, accused of attempting to buy the silence of a witness in a case related to embezzlement at the Legislative Assembly of Rio Grande do Norte.

Supreme Court Justice Dias Toffoli suspended the proceedings in June of last year. The Public Prosecutor's Office is appealing to try to bring the case back to the first instance court.
