247 - Lawyer Tiago Cedraz, son of the Minister of the Federal Court of Accounts (TCU) Aroldo Cedraz, denied in a statement to the Federal Police that he committed any of the crimes for which he is being investigated in Operation Abate 2, the 45th phase of Lava Jato. In addition to the statement, Tiago and his former partner Sergio Tourinho Dantas had R$ 6 million in investment accounts frozen by order of federal judge Sérgio Moro. Moro also issued search and seizure warrants for their residences in the cities of Brasília and Salvador, respectively.
The funds frozen by Moro's decision correspond to what would have been paid as a commission by the American company Sargeant, after the company signed a contract with Petrobras. Tiago and Tourinho are suspected of being part of a bribery scheme in contracts with the state-owned company.

In a statement, Tiago Cedraz denied any involvement in the investigated scheme and stated that he "reiterates his confidence regarding the facts uncovered, as he has never participated in any illegal conduct, trusts in the investigation conducted by the Lava Jato task force, and remains available for any necessary clarifications."

He is also being investigated by the Supreme Federal Court (STF) in another inquiry, along with ministers Aroldo Cedraz and Raimundo Carreiro, president of the Federal Court of Accounts (TCU), on suspicion of favoring construction companies in a process at the oversight and control body related to the construction works of the Angra 3 nuclear power plant.
