Dirceu asks the Supreme Court to allow him to work in a hotel.
Convicted and serving a semi-open prison sentence in case AP 470, the former Chief of Staff requested authorization from the Supreme Federal Court, presided over by Joaquim Barbosa, to work during the day at the Saint Peter Hotel as an administrative manager; the four-star hotel is located in the South Hotel Sector, in the central region of Brasília, near the Esplanade of Ministries and the Planalto Palace.
247 - Former Chief of Staff José Dirceu has filed a request with the Supreme Federal Court (STF) to work during the day at the Hotel Saint Peter in Brasília as an administrative manager. He is serving his sentence for AP 470 in Papuda prison, under a semi-open regime.
According to Dirceu's lawyer, José Luís de Oliveira Lima, he will submit the same request to the Criminal Enforcement Court of the Federal District Court of Justice, designated by the Supreme Federal Court to execute the sentences of those convicted in the so-called "mensalão" scandal.
The four-star Saint Peter Hotel is located in the South Hotel Sector, in the central region of Brasília, near the Esplanade of Ministries, the Presidential Palace, and the National Congress.
