Dino will ask the Supreme Court to prohibit the possession and carrying of weapons starting this Wednesday.
This measure is part of a series of actions to guarantee the safety of Brazilians and President Lula (PT) during the inauguration ceremony on January 1st in Brasília.
247 - The future Minister of Justice and National Security, Senator Flávio Dino (PSB), announced this Tuesday (27) new measures to guarantee the security of President-elect Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) and Brazilians during the inauguration ceremony next Sunday (1).
Dino announced that he will send a document to the Supreme Federal Court (STF) requesting a ban on the carrying and possession of weapons for at least five days throughout the Federal District.
The expectation is that the measure will come into effect this Wednesday (28) and will last until January 2, 2023. The document will be signed by the team of delegate Andrei Rodrigues, from the Federal Police, informs the website. Metropolis.
“The goal is that even people who may hold permits to carry or possess weapons, such as CACs [collectors, shooters, and hunters], will have this suspended by court order, so that it is clear that any possession or carrying of a weapon during this period will be considered a crime. This measure aims precisely to reinforce these precautions,” he explained.
