247 - The former Minister of Justice and current Secretary of Public Security of the Federal District, Anderson Towers, may be prevented from remaining in his current position, after Flávio Dino, Minister of Justice of the new Lula government, signed this Thursday (5) an order that prohibits the transfer of civil servants linked to the ministry “who are responding to disciplinary administrative proceedings, police investigation, criminal action or administrative misconduct, due to facts related to the exercise of any public function, within the scope of the Union or federated entities”.

Torres, who headed the ministry in the former Jair Bolsonaro administration, is the target of an investigation ordered last year by the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) regarding a live broadcast by the former head of government to attack, without evidence, the electoral system. The inquiry is ongoing.
