247 - Federal delegates will hold a protest this Wednesday (6) against the cuts in the PF budget and also against the actions of the Attorney General of the Republic, Rodrigo Janot, who, according to the National Association of Federal Police Delegates (ADPF), has been hindering the work of federal agents in investigations related to Operation Lava Jato that are being processed in the Supreme Federal Court (STF).
The act of protest, entitled "Let the Federal Police work," will be held in Brasília, at the institution's headquarters. In a statement, the ADPF (National Association of Federal Police Delegates) says it is necessary that "mutual respect exists between the Public Prosecutor's Office and the Federal Police, so they can work together, as Brazilian society desires. It is also necessary for the Ministry of Justice to act in order to guarantee the constitutional prerogatives of the Federal Police."
"We want the Federal Police to have more freedom to work, more budget, better working conditions, more personnel, and more technology. We need the population to 'support this idea,' so that they can pressure the branches of government to allow the Federal Police to combat corruption and organized crime even more successfully," said the president of ADPF, Marcos Leôncio.
