247 - A request to be filed this week with the Joint Parliamentary Inquiry Commission (CMPI) on the INSS (National Institute of Social Security) aims to summon Letícia Caetano dos Reis to provide clarifications to the committee. She has been the managing partner of Senator Flávio Bolsonaro's (PL-RJ) law firm since its founding in 2021, and the request is likely to increase political pressure on the senator, who is running for president, reports Lauro Jardim of the newspaper. The Globe.

According to the content of the request, Letícia Caetano dos Reis is the sister of Alexandre Caetano dos Reis, identified as a partner of Antônio Carlos Camilo Antunes, known as “Careca do INSS,” in a company based in the British Virgin Islands. Alexandre was the target of a Federal Police operation on suspicion of money laundering abroad, related to fraud against retirees. The document also states that the law firm operates at the same address as the mansion acquired by Flávio Bolsonaro about five years ago for R$ 6 million.

The request also notes that Letícia stated in an interview that she was recommended for the position of administrator of the senator's office by lawyer Willer Tomaz. The criminal lawyer is described as a close friend of Flávio Bolsonaro and has previously acted in the defense of Alexandre Caetano dos Reis in several legal proceedings.

In justifying the summons, the request sent to the Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry (CMPI) argues for the need to further investigate possible links between the senator and the group under investigation. The document states literally: "Given the evidence, a connection is suspected between Flávio Bolsonaro and the group of Antônio Carlos Camilo Antunes (the 'Baldy' of INSS), since their partners are brothers."

The expectation is that the request will be analyzed by the members of the commission in the coming days, within the context of investigations into irregularities and fraud involving social security benefits and their possible repercussions in the political and business spheres.
