According to the proposal, the change cannot be limited to birth and marriage records.
The Senate Agency - A bill approved this Wednesday (21) in the Human Rights Commission (CDH) provides for free rectification of first name and sex for transgender people.
Authored by Senator Fabiano Contarato (PT-ES), Bill 3.394/2021 received a report from Senator Leila Barros (PDT-DF), which stipulates that the change cannot be limited to birth and marriage registrations and must guarantee special conditions for this segment of the population.
The project will now go to the Constitution and Justice Committee (CCJ) for a final decision.
