Chico Vigilante responds to criticism from Mino Pedrosa
In yesterday's column, the journalist claims that a female employee in the Legislative Chamber's social communication department, whom he accuses of misconduct towards the press, is "protected" by Chico Vigilante; the parliamentarian alleges he does not know the employee in question; Miro Pedrosa will also be sued for articles published against lawyer Lícia Juliane.
247 - Deputy Chico Vigilante, leader of the PT/PRB Bloc, used the leaders' statement in the ordinary session this Wednesday (16) to defend himself against continuous attacks he has been suffering from journalist Mino Pedrosa, in his column published daily in the Brasília newspaper and replicated on his blog. In yesterday's column, the journalist claims that an employee of the social communication core of the Legislative Chamber, whom he accuses of bad behavior with the press, is "protected" by Chico Vigilante. "If this employee passes in front of me, I don't even know who she is," said the deputy.
According to the congressman, the journalist seems to enjoy tarnishing people's honor and shows a preference for doing so to him. "He keeps attributing things to me that I didn't do," he emphasizes.
The parliamentarian also informed that lawyer Lícia Juliane is filing a lawsuit seeking compensation for moral damages against Mino Pedrosa due to attacks she has been suffering on her honor and dignity with the publication of malicious notes in the journalist's column.
The notes indicate that the lawyer, along with the congressman, allegedly conspired in a kind of "pregnancy scam" to misappropriate public funds. Lícia Juliane is a former employee of the Legislative Chamber. The columnist nicknamed the lawyer a "surrogate mother." According to Chico Vigilante, this is disrespectful to women. The lawsuit for moral damages filed against Mino Pedrosa includes all the notes published by the journalist against the lawyer and the congressman.
