Bolsonaro meets with former Weintraub aide who is being considered for the Ministry of Education.

Lawyer Sérgio Sant'ana is a former special advisor to the Ministry of Education during Weintraub's administration and has the support of the Bolsonaro-aligned members of the PSL party.

247 - Jair Bolsonaro is expected to meet this Thursday (25) with lawyer Sérgio Sant'ana, who is tipped to take over the position of Minister of Education in place of Abraham Weintraub, who fled to the United States

Sant'Ana is a former special advisor to the Ministry of Education during Weintraub's administration and has the support of the Bolsonaro-aligned PSL party. According to journalist Igor Gadelha, from CNN BrazilSant'ana even sought out members of the centrist bloc, such as Congressman Ricardo Barros (PP-PR). He also spoke with the government leader in Congress, Senator Eduardo Gomes (MDB-TO).

"Bolsonaro-supporting congressmen who defend Sant'ana argue that he appeals to different factions because, although he is ideologically aligned with Bolsonaro, he has a more peaceful profile," says the journalist.

Bolsonaro has already met with businessman Renato Feder., the Secretary of Education of Paraná, as a possible replacement for Weintraub, an option that has already been ruled out.
