247 - The main ideologue of far-right populism, that is, of global neo-fascism, is set to install an ally as a special advisor on foreign policy in Brazil. That's right. Steve Bannon, who leads a "holy war" in the United States against China, the country's largest trading partner, will have an ally in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which demonstrates, once again, that Brazil is becoming a kind of new Puerto Rico, a gigantic territory without sovereignty.

"Financial market executive Gerald Brant, director of an investment firm on Wall Street and very close to American strategist Steve Bannon, is being considered for a relevant position in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He was approached to act as a kind of 'advisor' to Itamaraty, as a special advisor directly linked to the office of Foreign Minister Ernesto Araújo," the report indicates. Report by journalist Daniel Rittner, published in Valor.

A longtime friend of Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (Republicanos-RJ), Brant helped bring the presidential family closer to Steve Bannon, former strategist for Donald Trump and founder of the international right-wing group Movement, reports Rittner. The two – Bannon and Brant – organized an event in Washington last March to honor Olavo de Carvalho, guru of the Bolsonaro clan.
