After being pressured, Bolsonaro promotes Olavo de Carvalho's advisor to international affairs.

247 - One of the advisors from the so-called ideological wing of Jair Bolsonaro's government, Filipe Martins, was promoted to the position of chief advisor of the International Affairs Advisory Office, this Monday (8). The change was published in the Official Gazette of the Union.

Martins previously held the position of deputy international advisor. Now, the former student of Olavo de Carvalho, the guru of Bolsonarism, has gained more autonomy within the government. He will offer opinions on the federal government's international policy and will travel with delegations to foreign countries. Last Thursday, the 4th, he participated in Bolsonaro's live broadcast that attacked the anti-fascist demonstrations.

In the live broadcast, he said that "fascism is the opposite" of the Bolsonaro government. "It's the exact opposite of what you defend. They use it as terminology only as a linguistic trick, a ploy they have to deceive people who are watching, to make themselves appear to be in favor of democracy," he said.

The change occurred one day after Bolsonaro criticized by guru because he is not helping him with the legal proceedings he faces. Olavo said he would overthrow the government if it remained "inactive and cowardly," and also attacked the military wing of the government.
