Brasilia 247 - Following the PDT's break with the government of the Federal District, the head of the executive branch, Rodrigo Rollemberg, dismissed Secretary Gutemberg Gomes from the Secretariat of Labor, Social Development, Women, Racial Equality and Human Rights (Sedestmidh). The deputy secretary, Marlene de Fátima Azevedo Silva, will assume the position on an interim basis.

The reason for leaving the government coalition was disagreements over projects, including the pension reform for district employees. In a statement, the PDT party affirmed that it "will continue to vote favorably on projects it considers important for the population and the city, in accordance with its program and statutes."

The GDF (Government of the Federal District) said it hopes "that the PDT (Democratic Labour Party) will truly respect its commitments to the city and its population and vote in favor of projects that are in the interest of and important for the economic and social development of the Federal District."
