January 8th: Check out the schedule from the three branches of government celebrating the victory of democracy against the attempted coup.

The Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches are in agreement to transform January 8th into a day to commemorate the "victory of democracy."

247 - The Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches are in agreement to transform January 8th into a day to remember the "victory of democracy" against the coup attempts carried out a year ago. To this end, various activities will take place throughout this Monday. 

According to metropolises, The first event will be an exhibition at the Supreme Federal Court (STF), with a ceremony at 14 pm led by the Court's president, Minister Luís Roberto Barroso.

An exhibition at the Supreme Court will feature damaged pieces and fragments from the vandalism on January 8, 2023, as well as images of the STF's resistance to the act. The exhibition will be open to the public on Tuesday (January 9), from 1 pm to 5 pm.

Another event will begin at 15 PM, this one in the Black Hall of the National Congress, with the expectation of a speech by President Lula. Authorities such as governors, mayors, jurists, parliamentarians, and ministers will be present, as well as the presidents of Congress, Rodrigo Pacheco (PSD-MG), and the Chamber of Deputies, Arthur Lira (PP-AL), in addition to Minister Barroso.
