247 – Today a minister of the Supreme Federal Court (STF), Teori Zavascki was the record holder, among 50 colleagues who served on the Superior Court of Justice (STJ) from 2009 to 2012, for trips using public funds without justification.
According to legislation created by the STJ (Superior Court of Justice) ministers themselves in 2009, it is not necessary to justify travel expenses as long as they respect the annual limit, which is currently R$ 48 per office.
According to documents obtained by SheetFrom 2009 to 2012, Zavascki spent R$ 176 on airfare. Only 23% of these expenses were for official business.
Following him are Antonio Herman (spending R$ 144), Napoleão Nunes Maia Filho (R$ 113), Benedito Gonçalves (R$ 106) and Maria Thereza Rocha de Assis Moura (R$ 100).
