247 - On Tuesday (18), Minister Dias Toffoli, of the Supreme Federal Court (STF), voted to indict those accused of participating in the attacks on the buildings of the Three Powers of the Republic on January 8. The trial, which involves 100 of the 1.390 people indicted by the Attorney General's Office (PGR), began in the STF's virtual plenary.
According to the metropolises, The case's rapporteur, Minister Alexandre de Moraes, was the first to vote, at midnight, expressing his support for making the accused defendants for the crimes. Toffoli cast the second vote at 9:15 am this Tuesday.
In this first round of trials, the cases of people who are still detained are being analyzed, since those under investigation who are in custody have priority over others. Currently, 294 people are incarcerated as a result of the January 8 attacks. The analyses will take place between April 18 and 24.
