Temer appoints deputy leaders for the government in the Chamber of Deputies.

Three months after choosing Congressman André Moura (PSC-SE) to be the government leader in the Chamber of Deputies, the interim president of the Republic, Michel Temer, has defined the names of 15 congressmen who will assume the vice-leadership in the House; the biggest challenge will be to reinforce Moura's work to approve economic agendas defended by Temer's team that have not yet advanced in the House, such as the bill that limits public spending to primary expenses and the renegotiation of state debts; both matters are scheduled to be voted on next week.

Among the parliamentarians who will reinforce negotiations in the Legislature on issues of interest to the Planalto Palace are Darcisio Perondi (PMDB-RS), Julio Lopes (PP-RJ), Marcos Montes (PSD-MG), Fernando Francischini (SD-PR), Marcelo Aro (PHS-MG), Marcelo Squassoni (PRB-SP), Luiz Carlos Busato (PTB-RS), Arthur Oliveira Maia (PPS-BA), Alceu Moreira (PMDB-RS), Carlos Henrique Gaguim (PTN-TO), Tereza Cristina (PSB-MS), Capitão Augusto (PR-SP), Jorge Tadeu Mudalen (DEM-SP), Carlos Marun (PMDB-MS) and Rocha (PSDB-AC).

The group's main challenge will be to reinforce Moura's work in approving economic agendas advocated by Temer's team that have not yet progressed in the House. Among these are the proposed constitutional amendment (PEC 241/16) that limits public spending to primary expenses in the three branches of government, and the supplementary bill (PL 257/16) that deals with the renegotiation of state debts. Both are scheduled to be voted on next week.
