247 - Supreme Federal Court (STF) minister Ricardo Lewandowski said this Friday (3), in a statement to journalists during Lide, an event taking place in Lisbon, Portugal, that the statements made by Senator Marcos do Val (Podemos-ES) “are serious and must be investigated to ensure possible accountability”.

According to Do Val, Bolsonaro and former congressman Daniel Silveira (PTB-RJ) They wanted him to illegally wiretap Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes., with the aim of obtaining some compromising statement that could justify the magistrate's arrest. This would be the trigger for the coup d'état.

“This is truly unacceptable in a democracy [wiretapping Supreme Court justices]. Alexandre [de Moraes] responded because he witnessed the events; I was not present and therefore cannot answer for him. If what Senator [Do Val] reported is true, it seems to me that this is a very serious matter and must be investigated. And if it is true, it will have very serious consequences,” Lewandowski stated.

The minister was also asked about the possibility of Jair Bolsonaro's arrest, but he declined to comment. "I don't know any details about any case currently underway against him," he concluded.
