247 - The meeting between the presidents of the PDT, Carlos Lupi, and the PSB, Carlos Siqueira, to discuss the possibility of an alliance for this year's presidential election should take place after January 15th, when the socialist party president's vacation ends, reports the journalist. William Amado, from Metrópoles.

Discussions between the two parties began after talks between the PSB and the PT aimed at forming a federation were stalled. The PDT has nominated former minister Ciro Gomes to run for president, while the PT is expected to nominate former president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.

Negotiations between the Socialist Party (PSB) and the Workers' Party (PT) have stalled due to the PSB's intransigence regarding state-level elections, especially in São Paulo. There, the PSB intends to launch the vice-governor, Márcio França, as its candidate for governor of São Paulo, despite the PT's Fernando Haddad being better positioned in the polls.
