Randolfe on the Lula/Alckmin ticket: "it's practically settled"

The attempt to bring the former PSDB member onto the ticket is seen as a strategy to signal moderation and unite different forces to defeat Bolsonaro's movement.

247 -  Senator Randolfe Rodrigues (Rede-AP) stated this Monday (7), in an interview with newspaper The newspaper O Estado de S. Paulo reports that the alliance between former president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and former governor Geraldo Alckmin (independent) in the 2022 elections is a matter "practically resolved." According to Randolfe, Lula needs to "present a broad coalition of forces."

Randolfe, the main interlocutor between the Rede party and the PT, and one of the coordinators of Lula's campaign, said that there is no alternative to the name of Alckmin.  

"I think Lula should present a broad coalition, and I think Alckmin can fulfill that role," the senator added.
