PT goes to court against Barusco's accusations.

In a statement, the party presided over by Rui Falcão denies allegations by the former Petrobras manager that it received bribes through contracts with the state-owned company and says that the statements "follow the same line as others made in 'plea bargain' processes and whose main characteristic is the attempt to involve the party in accusations, but they do not present evidence or even indications of irregularities and, therefore, do not deserve credit"; the party reiterates that it "only receives legal donations that are declared to the Electoral Court" and affirms that "accusers will be forced to answer in court for the lies uttered against the PT".

247 - The Workers' Party (PT) responded in a statement to accusations made by former Petrobras manager Pedro Barusco, that the party received between US$150 million and US$200 million in bribes between 2003 and 2013 through 90 Petrobras contracts.

The accusation was made in testimony given in November as part of a plea bargain, but its content was only revealed this Thursday, the 5th, during the launch of the ninth phase of Lava Jato.

The party, chaired by Rui Falcão, reiterated that it "only receives legal donations that are declared to the Electoral Court" and stated that "the accusers will be forced to answer in court for the lies they have spread against the PT."

According to the statement, Barusco's accusations "follow the same line as others made in 'plea bargain' processes, which are characterized by the attempt to involve the party in accusations, but do not present evidence or even indications of irregularities and, therefore, do not deserve any credibility."
